Peter Hughes

Peter Hughes brings more than 35 years of experience in capital markets, corporate governance, and complex transaction execution across both public and private companies.  As Chairman of the Board and an Independent Director of Crown Aviation Holdings Inc., Peter provides strategic oversight and leadership to the Board, ensuring strong governance practices and alignment between management execution and shareholder interests. Having completed many initial public offerings (IPOs), reverse takeovers (RTOs), mergers and acquisitions, and capital structuring across Canadian and U.S. markets Peter is a seasoned and proven successful lead director.

Over the course of his career, Peter has built and scaled numerous businesses and has served on the boards and independent committees including audit, governance, nominating, and compensation for both private held and publicly listed companies on exchanges in Canada and the United States.  Peter is recognized for fostering collaborative and effective board environments, providing strategic guidance to management teams, and supporting disciplined growth through periods of expansion and transformation.

Peter has a longstanding connection to aviation as a floatplane-endorsed private pilot and brings both industry familiarity and governance expertise to Crown Aviation.  Peter holds a Science degree from the University of British Columbia and has completed the Canadian Securities Course through the Canadian Securities Institute, as well as the Director & Officer Course at Simon Fraser University.  Based in the Vancouver area, Peter holds a central role in guiding the Company’s growth by acquisition strategy and governance framework.
